Windows 10 Redstone 3 looks to bring Project NEON improvements to the Start menu

Another Project NEON concept image has leaked revealing planned improvements to the Start menu.

As we exclusively revealed back in 2016, Microsoft is working on a new design language for Windows 10 called Project NEON. This new design language will bring a new and improved user-interface to most of the system starting with Redstone 3 if all goes to plan, and today another internal concept image of the design language has leaked.

Today's newly leaked concept shows what Microsoft has planned for the Start menu and taskbar in Windows 10 Redstone 3. Today's concept image leak reveals the task bar and Start menu in dark mode, with the Start menu featuring a slightly more "attractive" blur and transparent live tiles.

Windows Central can confirm this concept image to be the real deal, and is actually part of a much larger set of concept images designed internally by Microsoft several months ago. Project NEON has been a thing in the plans for Microsoft since 2015, and with Redstone 3 we should see it start showing up system wide.

We're expecting Microsoft to talk more openly about Project NEON at the upcoming BUILD developer conference in May, where hopefully the company will reveal its plans for Redstone 3. In the meantime, what are you most looking forward to with Project NEON? Let us know below!
