Essential (and budget-friendly) tech I use every day

This is all the budget-friendly tech Windows Central columnist Jason Ward has in his personal computing arsenal.

Like some of our readers, I don't have all the latest and greatest high-end gadgets many of my colleagues write about. And that's OK, I'm not a gadget reviewer.

I am a writer who also loves gadgets and technology. Conversely, some bloggers are techies first who've embraced the opportunity to indulge their love for tech through writing.

I share that to say that like many writers, the tools of my craft have not always been cutting-edge. Consequently, my experiences and the tools I use may be more aligned with those of the budget-conscious members of our readership rather than of the writers and readers who use multiple high-end devices.

MY PC

My current go-to device for content creation is a Core i5 Surface Pro with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that I recently purchased bundled with Surface Pen and Type Cover for $899 from Costco.
