War Robots
This recommendation came from the comment section below, and having spent some time playing this game (I mean, who can resist a game called War Robots?!?), it's the real deal.
Fans of the classic MechWarrior franchise absolutely need to check this game out. You can build and customize your own weaponized robot, then take it into 6 vs 6 battles where your goal is to destroy the enemy and capture and hold strategic positions around the map.
Here's what TheRandroid had to say about his recommendation:
War Robots (FREE) will destroy your phone battery as well as your life. I am forced to use two devices (grab the other when the 1st battery needs a charge) due to not being able to put it down in my spare time. Definitely worth checking out.
War Robots is a free game from the Google Play Store, though you are teased with in-app purchases to help you upgrade your robots quicker.

Her Story
Her Story delivers a gaming experience unlike anything you've ever seen before. Originally developed for the PC, this game is an interactive movie game that focuses on a police investigation into a missing man. You play the role of a detective, who must breakdown and find clues from seven interviews conducted with the man's wife. It's an engaging example of interactive storytelling that earned Her Story several awards.
This game was recommended to us by user VisitorB in the forum thread, along with a whole bunch of other great recommendations you should check out. Here's what they had to say about Her Story:
The game is fascinating, and doesn't lose anything from the port to mobile. It crossed my mind that it might be fun to play on a Chromecast (the game doesn't support it, but you can cast the screen). With multiple people, you could discuss the plot, suggest keywords, someone could take some notes, etc. I wish I could erase my memory and do it again just like that.
Now, that's a GREAT recommendation, and I've already got a group of friends who are eager to try out playing this game together via Chromecast. If you've never heard of Her Story before, you'll definitely want to look into it.
Burrito Bison Launcha Libre
I'm just going to come out and admit that this game dominated my phone for the first few weeks after this was released. It's a frantic Android version of the popular flash game that lets you play as one of three super-powered luchadors who have a serious grudge against gummy bears. This is a classic grinding game that's just a ridiculous amount of fun, and as user Andvarix points out, is a great way to kill some time:
Burrito Bison to go. If you've played any of the flash versions online then you know the deal. Launch yourselves, smash gummies (normal and special powered up ones) and smash walls to get as far as you possibly can. Good for quick gaming sessions.
There's a ton of power ups and upgrades available to super-charge your wrestlers, so you can maintain your breakneck launch speed and break through those cookie walls. For some light-hearted fun that's addictive as all hell, check out Burrito Bison Launcha Libre.
