Cult hit Ori and the Blind Forest's hero was just as cute as a prototype

Ori and the Blind Forest is a modern cult classic as it tells a powerful story, features stunning visuals, and has tight gameplay mechanics.

However, what about the early stages of development? Recently, we stumbled upon a video which showcased an early animation prototype of the game. Despite being graphically basic, the gameplay seems to be as tight and smooth as the final product. It's always interesting to see how titles evolve as usually they're radically different years later. In this case though, it seems as those the developer had the animation almost perfected even at an early stage. The best part is that Ori was just as cute even during the prototype phase.
